Hi, I’m Jennifer, a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist. I provide in-person therapy in Renfrew and virtual therapy to children, youth, adults, families, and couples anywhere in Ontario.
I’m passionate about walking alongside people as they navigate life’s challenges—whether that means managing transitions, relationship struggles, or feelings of anxiety, depression, substance use, or trauma.
At the heart of my work is creating a space that feels authentic, warm, safe, and compassionate—a place where you feel genuinely seen and heard. I believe healing happens through connection, both with others and within ourselves, and that spending time in nature can sometimes help deepen that process.
My approach to therapy is conversational, strength-based, and collaborative. From a client-centred perspective, I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities and believe that people often know what works best for themselves. I hold a trauma-informed perspective, recognising that behaviour represents only part of a person’s story, and exploring what lies beneath can provide clarity and a path forward.
My background includes supporting children and youth who have experienced trauma and loss, as well as individuals navigating homelessness, substance use, and the unique experiences of people who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+ or neurodivergent. I welcome clients from all walks of life and strive to offer an inclusive, affirming space.
I enjoy updating my skill set and am currently working towards certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (TF-CBT) and in working with Out-of-Control Sexual Behaviours as a Canadian Certified Sex Addiction Specialist (CCSAS).
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy spending time in nature with my family, friends, and pets, swimming, reading, and travelling by train across North America.
You are welcome to reach out to schedule a free consultation or an initial session. I would be honoured to connect with you.
