My name is Rudaina and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I work with individuals and with couples who present with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship problems, sexuality challenges, and infidelity. Using a client-centred approach, I practice mainly from a psychodynamic lens with support from cognitive, emotion-focused (EFT), experiential, and other therapies.

Perhaps you are carrying a heavy weight on your shoulders and painful stories in your heart. Maybe you feel alone, lost, and uncertain of your path. You may be feeling hurt in your couple relationship, or experience it as unfulfilling or lacking in intimate connection. I believe that therapy and healing happens within a safe and supportive relationship. I will offer you an empathetic ear and a confidential place where we can explore the root causes of your struggles, and work together through the process of self-discovery and growth.

I also integrate the cultural and spiritual dimensions of client experience in my work. I have lived in several countries, have built connections with a variety of different cultures and I work with clients in English and/or Arabic.

Welcome! I’m so glad you are here.

My name is Amanda,

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in good standing with the CRPO. I work with adult individuals (18+) and couples.

About working with me:

Psychotherapy can be a deeply healing, empowering and transformative experience. It also requires vulnerability, discomfort and perseverance. That’s why my first goal as a therapist is to provide a welcoming, non-judgmental and confidential environment where you feel safe and supported through your therapy journey every step of the way. Therapy is a process where we work together, beginning where you are, and moving towards where you want to be.

I am genuinely curious and will spend time getting to know you and work to understand how you see the world. I commonly hear that I have a warm, down-to-earth and empathetic presence that puts others at ease. I firmly believe that you have everything you need inside of you to overcome whatever brought you here, sometimes we just need a hand to get there.

Areas of practice:

I have experience working with a range of issues such as (but not limited to):

  • Anxiety disorders
  • Depression
  • Emotional regulation issues
  • Self-esteem issues, self-criticism
  • Health issues/chronic pain
  • Life transitions + grief
  • ADHD/executive dysfunction

Other areas of special interest are:

  • Perinatal mental health
  • Relationships of all kinds
  • Parenting and co-parenting
  • Family members of individuals living with addiction and mental illness
  • Persons involved in the criminal justice system

I have 10+ years of experience working in mental health case management, where I worked closely with individuals living with serious mental health issues, addiction, dual diagnosis and persons involved in the criminal justice system.

I am also a yoga and meditation teacher, where my focus is on helping others to find a slower pace in their life through meditation, mindfulness and yoga.

My approach:

My approach is trauma-informed and based in emotion and attachment. I look at all client issues through a culturally responsive, socially just lens - this means that your unique needs, values and worldview are an important part of the work that we do.

In my work with couples I draw solely from Emotion Focused Therapy. With individuals, I tailor my approach to your needs by drawing from several modalities.

Hello! I’m Cassandra and I am a registered psychotherapist.

Having grown up in the Ottawa Valley area, I am passionate about helping to better the lives of those in our communities and beyond. In my own life, and particularly my experiences as a parent, I have learned how valuable incorporating coping skills for anxiety, emotional regulation and mindfulness can be- and I am inspired to empower my clients to find the strategies that work best for them.

I employ a person-centered, integrative approach, believing that therapy should be tailored to each of my client’s individual needs while viewing feelings, thoughts, and behaviours as interconnected, influencing daily functioning. To me, therapy is a collaborative process where clients are well-informed, and able to share their thoughts and opinions. I strive to create a safe and comfortable atmosphere for all, maintaining a non-judgmental and empathetic stance throughout the therapeutic journey.

My commonly used approaches to therapy include Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Solution-Focused, and Mindfulness-based techniques.

I look forward to working alongside you!

Hello! My name is Terri Ann, and I bring sixteen years of experience working with a diverse population of individuals and families. I provide a warm, empathetic, and down-to-earth counselling environment designed to support healing and personal growth. My personal and professional experiences have equipped me to assist clients in navigating grief, trauma, and loss with compassion and understanding. I am dedicated to supporting individuals facing challenges related to addictions, mental health, and relationship issues. My goal is to offer a welcoming, non-judgmental, and holistic experience that helps clients find purpose and connection in their journey toward healing. I work with clients from all backgrounds, sexual orientations and cultures, providing a space where they can share their unique stories and identities outside the constraints of mainstream definitions. With a unique two-eyed seeing approach, I also offer culturally aware services that integrate both Indigenous and Western perspectives. This method allows me to create a safe space where clients can explore their identities and stories without feeling confined to a single narrative. In our sessions, we may explore various therapeutic approaches to suit your unique needs. This could include traditional practices like smudging and nature-based healing, as well as evidence-based therapies such as narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT). I have experience working with neurodivergent clients, providing tailored support that respects and understands their unique ways of experiencing the world. My practice is inclusive and embraces gender diversity, recognizing and addressing the distinct challenges faced by individuals of all gender identities. I am particularly attuned to the unique challenges faced by individuals who identify as women, such as navigating traditional values, gender roles, child care, mom guilt, and balancing work and parenting. I provide support to help them manage societal expectations and personal struggles. Additionally, I have a strong background in supporting individuals who experience work-related trauma. Whether it’s burnout, workplace conflict, or stress in high-pressure environments, I offer compassionate and effective strategies to help clients manage and overcome these challenges. My approach is always centred on creating an inclusive, understanding, and supportive space for all clients, ensuring that everyone feels heard, valued, and empowered on the journey to healing and personal growth. I invite you to embark on The Journey to Self with me, where we will work collaboratively to uncover the stories that make you stronger and help you achieve a fulfilling and balanced life.

My name is Mary Ann and I am an individual, couples and family psychotherapist that believes that one of the most courageous things we can do is do or say something different. Sometimes that means our lives will change. If you’re considering or currently making that change, or looking for help with relationships, I can be there to help you through it.

A variety of experiences have shaped my therapeutic approach. I’ve lived in a foreign country, worked in community care, and have lost important people in my life. The stressors of those times opened me to listening to my body in a new way, and helped me find new ways of responding to my loved ones. Like me, together we can work on being more mindful in your daily life, feel more solid emotionally and tell your new story.

I graduated with a bachelor degree in Religious Studies from UOttawa, focusing on the sociology and psychology of religion. I recently completed my Masters in Counselling, Psychotherapy and Spirituality from Saint Paul University. I work with individuals, couples and families. My approach is trauma-informed, client-centred and attachment-based. Whatever it is you hold sacred, let’s maximize its potential to assist you on your healing path.
